What are the selection criteria?

1 • Have a positive impact (address one or more of the UN SDGs, have clear impact KPIs).
2 • Be innovative - i.e. rethinking the standards
3 • Have a viable business model - profitable or with a clear route towards profitability
4 • Demonstrate the potential to be scaled or replicated

Furthermore, to exhibit, solutions must have a real product to demo, such as life-size solution, or an immersive experience, etc.

Special consideration for solutions with a Product Lifecycle Assessment.

Rounds & admission process

How much does it cost?

Applications are open to all sizes and types of organizations (startups, SMEs, large corporations, associations, NGOs…) as long as you offer a concrete solution to the SDGs.

Packages and pricing are based on your stage of development. If you are selected for a program, ChangeNOW will cover part of the fees:

  • Seeds of change Program for startups created after 2016 & with less than €1 million in annual revenues: 990€ including 3sq.m booth and 3 passes (in lieu of 3300)

  • Change pioneer Program for companies with less than €10 million in annual revenues: 2600€ including 6sq.m booth and 6 passes (in lieu of 6600€)

  • Regular Pricing: official selection 2020 - 1100€ /sq.m and 1 pass per sq.m

 

What about Covid-19?

We believe COVID-19 should not be a barrier to acting in response to the environmental and social emergencies of our century.
The 3 previous editions of ChangeNOW have shown the importance of human contact and immersive experiences to make change concrete, to build relationships with a high added value, and to take concrete action.

ChangeNOW 2021 will take place with the utmost respect for health measures and will enforce all the safety regulations necessary (masks, gel, social distancing, etc.). Digital alternatives will be put in place in case of restrictions on movement and gatherings.

How can startups take part in ChangeNOW?

There are several ways for startups to take part in the summit and take the most out of it

  1. By exhibiting your solution in the World Expo, under the glass dome of Grand Palais.
    -> Apply to get your own corner and be part of the World Expo of solutions for the planet until the 15th of October
  2. By pitching your project in front of investors, corporates and partners related to your topics.
    -> Applications to pitch at ChangeNOW will open soon. Stay tuned!
  3. By attending the summit with the startup pass, which will give you access to networking meet-ups, BtB meetings platform and all sessions and workshops of the summit.

What is a demo booth and how can I apply ?

A demo booth is a dedicated corner to showcase your solution during 3 days under the emblematic glass dome of Grand Palais. 

Everyone can apply: applications are open to all sizes and types of organizations (startups, SMEs, large corporations, associations, NGOs, public utilities...).
To enable all sizes of solutions to attend the summit, we have developed special programs for startups and small organizations :  the “seeds of change program” and the “change pioneers program”. More information about the programs here.

Who can apply for the Seeds of Change program?

The Seeds of Change program is open to startups or organizations created during or after 2015 and generating less than 1 million euros of annual revenues.

Who can apply for the Change Pioneers program?

The Change Pioneers program is open to startups or SMEs created before 2015 and generating less than 10 million euros of annual revenues.

How do I apply for the pitch sessions?

Applications for Pitch will open around two months before ChangeNOW 2020. Stay tuned!

What does it bring me to exhibit at ChangeNOW?

Selected solutions will benefit from:

  • 3 days of maximum exposure during the summit, with a dedicated exhibition corner under the emblematic glass dome of Grand Palais
  • Full-access passes for your team (1 pass/m²)
  • Organization of BtoB meetings directly on their demo corner, with premium access to our AI matchmaking platform to be connected with the investors, corporates, cities, media, and organizations that can help amplify your solution
  • Presentation in the Press & Investors Book, offered to all investors and journalists attending the summit
  • Visibity on our communication tools: website, social networks, communication kits...
How can I access the matchmaking / networking tool?

Once your are selected, you will get access to the networking platform to enter your profile and needs. A few weeks before the summit, you will be able to access the catalogue of all the participants, and send invitations to the people you want to meet.
Once your invitation is accepted, our networking service will schedule a 15 minutes speed-meeting with your guest, in a dedicated place in the Grand Palais, taking into account your availabilities.

Do you provide onsite wifi?

Yes, there will be specific wifi access for exhibitors in the Grand Palais. However, due to the large number of exhibitors, we advise you to prepare demos that can also work without internet.

How can I order additional passes?

As an exhibitor, you will have the possibility to order additional exhibitors passes for your team or BtoB passes for your network, directly on your exhibitor’s account (Vimeet platform).
To order additional passes, go on your Vimeet account and click on “Modify package” to select the passes. It will then be directly added to your proforma.
You will then receive invitational codes per email, for you team members and network partners to register.

How can I order additional chairs or screens?

You will have the possibility to order specific furniture (screen, additional chair, etc.) directly on your exhibitor’s account (Vimeet platform).  You will be informed per email when additional furniture are available on the platform.
To order additional passes, go on your Vimeet account and click on “Modify package” to select your additional furnitude. It will then be directly added to your proforma.

How can I receive my invoice?

If you have been selected before September, please send an email to marianne@changenow-summit.com

Otherwise, you can download your invoice directly on exhibitor’s account (Vimeet platform). Click on “Order list” and then “view proforma”

Do I have to attend all three days of the event?

Your exhibition corner is for the three days of the summit. It is not possible to book a demo corner for one or two days only. As participants will be informed of your presence during the three days, by joining the summit, you agree to make sure that there is always at least one person of your team who represents your solution in your demo corner.

How can I appear in the press and Investors’ book?

All selected solutions will be presented in the Press and Investors’ book, offered to all media and investors attendin the summit.
A few weeks before the summit, you will receive a form with all information to present your solution in the book.

What can we bring on our demo booth?

You will receive the exhibitor’s charter, with all information about the set up of your corner. Most important for you is to bring your solution itself, and whatever cool ideas you have to showcase it... to inspire your future investors, partners or customers!
Please note that we will also provide you with a signal presenting your solution. Please do not bring any additional kakemono or roll-up. Make maximum efforts to showcase directly your solution.

What are the selection criteria?

Our team of experts is selecting solutions by following a thorough reviewing process that ensures that each solution has:

1) A positive impact (addresses one or more of the UN's SDGs)

2) An innovative concept

3) A viable business model

4) The potential to be scaled

Furthermore, to exhibit, solutions must put forward a real demo, such as life-size solution, or an immersive experience, etc.

What is a cluster?

To help you connect with the people you need and bring a qualitative experience for the visitors, all the booths will be classified by clusters related to your area of focus. 
Examples of clusters: Plastic & Packaging, Changing Habits, Water & Ocean, Sustainable Fashion, Sustainable Mobility, Health & Well-being, Energy, Sustainable city, Inclusive economy, Circular economy, Education, Finance for Good, Biodiversity, food & agriculture, AI / VR for Good...

My solution corresponds to several clusters. Can I have booth on each of these clusters?

Each solution can only be represented once. Your solutions will be represented in the cluster that is most appropriate. Each demo corner and cluster will have great visibility in the Grand Palais.

Can I take part in both the demo (exhibition) and pitch sessions?

Exhibit and pitch represents two different opportunities. It is possible for you to apply both to them.

I live abroad, I have been selected to exhibit or to pitch. Are travel expenses included?

Travel expenses are not covered

Will I get a reduced rate if only one person of my team attends?

We offer free tickets for your team (1 pass/m²). Those tickets cannot be refunded. We really advise you to come with your team to enjoy the full experience of the summit!
